What we can't carry
Transporter is for everyday things: furniture, boxes, bikes, appliances. Don't post any of these, and a carrier can always refuse something they aren't comfortable with.
- Firearms, ammunition and weapons
- Explosives and fireworks
- Hazardous materials: fuel, propane and gas cylinders, corrosives, poisons
- Illegal drugs and anything illegal to possess
- Live animals
- Cash, securities and precious metals
- Human remains
- Anything worth more than $10,000 (the declared-value limit)
Transporter doesn't insure anything that is carried. BC Ferries has its own rules for dangerous goods on board; the person carrying is responsible for following them.
